Dr. Zoumalan is a specialist that only performs cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid and orbital surgery. He performs procedures exclusively around the eyelids and the eye socket. He has completed training in both ophthalmology and in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons(ASOPRS). Dr. Zoumalan specializes in natural looking oculoplastic surgery performed to promote the best healing for rapid recovery. He has pioneered new strategies to improve patients’ healing times and overall result. He continuously is learning about the latest information in oculoplastic surgery.
Dr. Zoumalan received his Bachelors degree from the University of California-Los Angeles, and then received his Ophthalmology training at Stanford University’s Department of Ophthalmology. He then went on to complete a two-year sub-specialized multidisciplinary fellowship program in Oculoplastic Surgery at various world-renowned New York City-based hospitals including: New York University Medical Center, Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, and the Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat Hospital. Through this experience, Dr. Zoumalan has performed aesthetic and reconstructive surgeries involving all aspects of the eyes and face. He is board-certifed by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a graduate of an American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (ASOPRS) fellowship training program.
